What BCD? (Part 2)

I’m still deciding what BCD I want to get and since I posted about the Scubapro Knighthawk just over a month ago I am still none the wiser as to which one.  I had the plan of trying a Scubapro Kinghthawk on at LIDS last week but, I was unable to find a supplier with one at the show – although everyone I spoke said I was probably a medium.

Also since then, I have been considering the possibility of a Custom Divers Wing, either the Bravo or Sportster.  Priced between £250 (Sportster) and £400 (Bravo) they are simular to the Knighthawk, both a light and ideal for the travelling recreational diver and the Bravo has the advantage of being used with or without a backplate (again good from a travelling p.o.v).

I am now confused.  I don’t know whether to try a wing out in a pool session, or just one on and make a decision and introducing different make/models has made the decision harder.

Epoque ES-230DS Strobe

I’ve been to the London International Dive Show at ExCeL today and came away with a Epoque ES-230DS Strobe kit to go with my Canon A570IS.  I looked at both Epoque models as they offer good compatibility among digital compacts and finally decided on the ES-230DS as it offers a greater angle of coverage (which is good considering I have a wide angle lens).

The kit comprises of the following:

Epoque ES-230DS Strobe Head
10Bar Camera Tray (1 slot)
10Bar Flexible Arm (36cm)
Fibre Optic Cable

Here are some photos of it:
